I got a Community Guidelines Warning

Read before reading: this page isnt me complaining about youtube. it's just for poking fun at what happened, and to make sure you don't do the same thing that I did.

So, for my 400 subscribers special, I was going to livestream a tape that all the viewers of my channel know and love. The "famous" BBC Kids tape that I recorded on the very last day of the station's life on Dec 31, 2018.

On Dec 31, 2019, I was planning on livestreaming the tape, but it was delayed beacuse of my terrible capture device at the time. I planned on streaming the tape on May 30, 2020, and that's exactly what I did.

So the stream was going for a solid 10 minutes, and there were 4 people watching (thanks guys!), but then YouTube said:

Alright, call me an idiot for livestreaming copyrighted content, but I thought it was still like the "good" old days, where people were livestreaming entire tv series and not getting a strike. I seriously didn't know that this would get me a warning, so this completely tosses all my other planned streams of going through tapes down the drain.

So basically, don't livestream copyrighted content anymore, or else this purple dude from youtube will give you the yellow card of doom.

Also this guy did it for the wrong reason. The warning says "spam, deceptive practices and scams", but I don't think I was spamming, scamming or being deceptive by playing a tape that I recorded a year ago. Goes to show how good bots are at banning people.
